Performance Optimization

Simulation tells you where a design is weak before you spend money finding out. We model the case, state the assumptions, and show what moved.

The exchange

What you send, what you get back

Formats and artefacts, stated up front. If a job cannot be described this way it is not ready to start, and that is a cheaper conversation than the first revision.

What you send

  • Watertight geometry (STEP)
  • Operating conditions
  • Material properties
  • What "better" means for this part

What you get back

  • Simulation report
  • Field plots and sections
  • Geometry revisions
  • Stated assumptions and limits

Method

How the work runs

Four steps, in this order. The sequence is the point: each one is there to make the next one cheaper to get wrong.

  1. Define

The objective is written before the mesh is built: what is being improved, against what baseline, under what conditions.

  2. Model

Geometry is prepared and meshed, boundary conditions are set, and the assumptions behind each one are recorded.

  3. Iterate

Design variants are run against the same case so the comparison is honest, and the geometry is revised where the result says to.

  4. Report

You get the fields, the deltas against baseline, and an explicit statement of what the model does not capture.

Qualifiers

What we will and won't claim

Read these before you brief us. They are the parts of the job we cannot promise away, so we say them first rather than last.

  • A simulation result is a model of reality, not a measurement of it. Every report states its assumptions.
  • We report deltas against your baseline rather than headline percentages, because the baseline is what makes the number mean anything.

Send us the part

A brief, a sketch, a scan or a STEP file is enough to start. Tell us what it has to do and we will tell you what we would need to do it.
